The concept of the OctoPower 64 + originated from a need in the German film industry. They sought an independent power supply for film locations. A key consideration was mobility. They regularly change locations, sometimes several times a day. The environment also varies from nature reserves to narrow streets in cities with strict environmental standards. Installation in a Van
Typically, mobile power solutions with a capacity similar to that of the OctoPower 64 + are enormous and very heavy. Moreover, large fuel tanks are essential when the diesel generator operates all day. Therefore, these conventional power systems are usually installed in trucks and trailers. However, these vehicles are increasingly unwelcome in cities due to the emergence of environmental zones. Let alone maneuvering large equipment in narrow streets is hardly easy. The OctoPower 64 +, on the other hand, is specifically designed for integration into a transport van. Throughout the design process, great emphasis was placed on reducing weight and size. The cooling through our special Top-Cool roof-mounted cooling unit is also a key success factor. Reducing Costs and Emissions
Conventional mobile power systems in trucks are equipped with substantial diesel generators. These generators can operate up to 10 hours a day and consume as much as 300 liters of diesel. Older models often lack exhaust gas aftertreatment. The hybrid OctoPower 64+ performs spectacularly in this area.
