METS Dame Awards nomination
IBI and METSTRADE are organizing their 2023 edition of the Boat Builder Awards. We are very delighted with our METS Dame Award nomination in the category Collaborative Solution between a Production Boat Builder & its Supply Chain Partners. As a sign of appreciation for the great collaboration between three A-brands in the marine industry: WhisperPower, Sleipner and Princess Yachts.
Collaboration at the highest level
These three companies have jointly worked on making luxury yachts smarter and more energy efficient. Above all, without making any concessions to the comfort on board. This has been achieved by working with smart battery technology in combination with powerful 3-phase inverter systems in full integration with Sleipner. Collaboration at the highest level, turning in a great result.
Total solutions provider
WhisperPower excels in the role of a total solutions provider. From defining specifications to production of components. From assembling components to installation of all parts into a system. A thorough pre-commissioning of the system is carried out prior to delivery to the boatbuilder. The concluding step is the final test run at the yard, with WhisperPower staff in attendance.
The OctoPower 25 system installed in a Princess X-80 built consists of the following components:
- 110 kWh Lithium Power Plus (LFP) battery bank, 48 VDC, complete with DC distribution and DC fuses to ensure safe operation
- 30 kVA 3 phase 60 Hz inverter/charger system to operate AC loads during silent time and charge batteries when running generator
- WhisperCare monitoring and control bus integrated with Boning power system control system
